Lifeworks Services, Inc. is excited to announce the upcoming purchase of two minivans through the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) 2024 FTA Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Capital “Minivan Pilot Program” Grant. This grant, funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and administered by MnDOT, provides financial assistance to organizations purchasing vehicles to enhance mobility for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Lifeworks will receive 80% of the vehicle cost through this program, with the remaining 20% covered by local funding.

These minivans will serve Lifeworks’ clients with disabilities across the metro area and Mankato. Trips will primarily support individuals accessing the community for recreational activities, volunteering, and employment opportunities, particularly in areas where Metro Mobility service is limited or unavailable. With a long history of providing services to thousands of individuals with disabilities, Lifeworks is committed to ensuring transportation access for all.

For more information about the 5310 vehicle minivan grant or the project, please contact Dan Mogelson, grant administrator and Vice President of Fund Development, at dmogelson@lifeworks.org or 651-454-2732.
