The Latest at Lifeworks – February 2025

Lifeworks Community,

At Lifeworks, disability inclusion isn’t just what we do – it’s who we are. And we know that real inclusion doesn’t happen with a single training or policy update. It takes a collective effort and ongoing commitment from businesses, organizations, and communities to ensure people with disabilities are truly included.

This is why we launched our Disability Inclusion Training and Consulting services – designed for companies and organizations that want to move beyond good intentions and take meaningful, sustained action toward advancing disability inclusion.

In 2024, more than 1,600 people attended a disability inclusion training with Lifeworks. That’s 1,600 more people informed on disability and willing to be a part of advancing inclusion! Disability inclusion means so much to us at Lifeworks, and we want to partner with businesses and communities that believe it is important, too.

Beginning this year, we are offering annual subscriptions to our training and consulting services giving businesses the tools, training, and expert guidance they need to embed disability inclusion into their culture and operations. Annual members benefit from monthly webinars, one-to-one consultation hours, private disability inclusion trainings, and access to our employee match program helping people with disabilities find jobs at their companies.

Disability Inclusion Training and Consulting services benefit everyone – not just employees and community members with disabilities. Advancing disability inclusion creates spaces where all people thrive.

This year, Lifeworks partnered with a regional bank in the Midwest to assess the accessibility of their new office in Chicago. While their floor plan was already ADA compliant, we made recommendations to enhance accessibility to create an environment where current and future employees with disabilities could feel truly included.

We know that creating a world where disability inclusion is the standard is a team effort. We have seen the challenges, but we have also seen what’s possible when our community makes disability inclusion a priority.

Are you ready to join us in advancing disability inclusion? Does your business want to do more than check a box and really make a commitment to disability inclusion? Contact Keeri Tramm, Director of Disability Initiatives, at ktramm@lifeworks.org or 612-598-2104 to get started.

Warmly,

Gertrude
