About Extended Employment

The Extended Employment program is designed to assist individuals with disabilities maintain and advance in meaningful employment within the community. This program is specifically for individuals who do not have waiver funding and may need extra support to remain employed long-term.

To be eligible for Extended Employment, a person must be a Minnesota resident, be employed in a competitive integrated workplace, has a documented, diagnosed disability, must have at least three functional limitations in terms of employment, and must be willing to meet twice per month with their job coach and submit their pay stubs monthly to comply with Extended Employment requirements.

Lifeworks accepts referrals for Extended Employment in the following counties:
