The Latest at Lifeworks – May 2025

Lifeworks Community,

This month, we celebrated a major milestone: the official kick-off to our 60^th anniversary and the launch of the Lifeworks Centers for Disability Inclusion. More than 700 Lifeworks supporters joined us and raised an impressive $570,000 to propel this bold new chapter. The Centers for Disability Inclusion are more than just a new initiative – they are a direct response to the needs of people with disabilities.

The need is both clear and urgent. Many community spaces remain inaccessible, disability services are still difficult to navigate, and there is a pressing need for greater understanding and inclusion. The Centers for Disability Inclusion are designed to be inclusive spaces for everyone, people with and without disabilities. They will provide core services, educational opportunities, and community engagement to build a more inclusive world. Our goal is ambitious: 20 centers across Minnesota in the next five years!

We can’t achieve this vision alone. We need your support to create a better world, for people with disabilities and for our collective futures. At Lifeworks, we believe that people with disabilities deserve to hear “yes” – “yes” to opportunities, “yes” to inclusion, and “yes” to being valued members of our community.
