Community Access Improvement Plan

May Update

On April 30, we hosted our first meeting of the Community of Practice! At our first meeting, members of the Community of Practice were able to meet their fellow cohort, gain a better understanding of how we will be collaborating with one another, and established preferences for meeting regularly as a group through 2025.

On May 28, we hosted our second meeting of the Community of Practice. We introduced two new members to the cohort and spent the bulk of our time together discussing areas of focus for the criteria we will develop for the Disability-Friendly Assessment. Over the summer months, we plan to continue diving into the Disability-Friendly Assessment with the goal of having developed the criteria and framework for it by October 2025.

We are excited to be partnering with this dynamic and diverse group to enhance community inclusion across the state of Minnesota. At the moment, we are still accepting interest forms to be a part of the Community of Practice and are hoping to build greater representation from all corners of the state.

If you are an individual, business, nonprofit, or disability service provider that wants to make Minnesota a place where everyone feels welcomed to live, work, and play – take the next step by filling out fill out an interest form for the Community of Practice!
