Announcing my retirement

Dear Lifeworks Community,

With a range of mixed emotions, I am announcing my plan to retire.

I feel confident in Lifeworks’ future because of all of you – the families, businesses, donors, partners, staff members, and especially the people with disabilities across Minnesota. I also feel fortunate to be part of the Lifeworks Team, thankful for the opportunity to learn from all of you, sad to be leaving, and excited about this next stage in my life.

I will continue working through at least the end of March of next year. This timing is to ensure continuity and to maintain momentum on initiatives and work underway across the entire organization as we commit ourselves to self-direction, choice, equity, and inclusion for all. Clearly, some of our current work will continue after March and new opportunities and challenges will arise.

Lifeworks is strong, healthy, and powered by extremely talented professionals. With your guidance and support Lifeworks will continue to listen, honor choice, innovate, and break down barriers.

The Lifeworks Board of Directors will soon partner with a search firm to look for my successor. If the search and transition processes extend past the end of March, I will stay beyond March.

In the meantime, I look forward to continuing our work together to create the future we envision for our participants, customers, communities, and each other.

Thank you for your support, trust, and friendship. It is an honor and privilege to be part of the Lifeworks Community
