Lifeworks is moving our main office from Eagan to Richfield this summer. We are excited to be a part of a new, vibrant community and to be located in a more central location for all of the people we serve across the 7-county Twin Cities metro and southern Minnesota.
When Lifeworks decided to move from Eagan, we envisioned a new space that is flexible, accessible, and inclusive for everyone. We wanted the location and office to be consistent with the Lifeworks values and support our new hybrid working model.
Lifeworks is so excited to welcome you to our Richfield office later this year, but we know that this is big news for everyone. To help you better understand our decisions and give clarity on how to connect with us during the moving process, please reference the questions and answers below.
What is the new Lifeworks main office address?
The new address for the Lifeworks main office will be: 6636 Cedar Ave S, Suite 250, Richfield, MN 55423.
When is Lifeworks moving?
The lease at our location in Eagan expires on June 30, 2022. We are in the process of building out our new space in Richfield and plan to open that office later this summer.
Why is Lifeworks leaving Dakota County?
While Lifeworks has had our main office in Dakota County for some time, we still have a presence in the area with our Apple Valley location. Although we are moving to Hennepin County, we still serve and support people across the entire Twin Cities metro area, Southern Minnesota, and beyond.
I currently go to Lifeworks in Eagan to drop off paperwork or to complete tasks for my services, where will I go to continue that support?
In order to support moving out of our Eagan office, some of our staff will temporarily work from our Brooklyn Park location and most staff will continue working remotely from their homes.
If you need to drop off paperwork or work with someone in person, we ask that you make an appointment by calling 651-454-2732. Staff will be available for appointments from 9am to 3pm on weekdays, or as agreed upon when you call.
Will all Lifeworks staff return to the office when you move to Richfield?
Lifeworks has adopted a hybrid working model that provides flexibility in working remotely and working from the office or other community location as needed. Once open, there will always be staff at the Richfield office during our business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., not all staff will be there every day.
Why did you choose Richfield?
As Lifeworks sought a location for our new main office, we focused on proximity to public transit and access to walkable amenities like restaurants and retail. We also knew we wanted to be part of a vibrant community that people access for all reasons – working, shopping, dining, and living.
Lifeworks has always focused on serving our community and people with disabilities as we live and work together. We knew it was important to be central to both living and working so we could best support our vision of inclusive communities for everyone.
Why did you choose 6636 Cedar Ave S?
The office Lifeworks chose at 6636 Cedar Ave S met all of our goals of flexibility, accessibility, and inclusion. The building is located within a few blocks of major Metro Transit stops and within a very vibrant and active neighborhood.
The new space features generous natural light (the top “must have” for our staff!) and is a blank slate for Lifeworks to build spaces and work areas that are above and beyond what is required for accessibility.
Will you be hosting an Open House event?
Yes. We are excited to welcome the Lifeworks community to our new main office. We don’t have a date set for an Open House event yet, but stay tuned for an invitation later this year.
