Launch Day: Hy-Vee’s “My Heart” Bag Program!

Wednesday, September 1, 2021 is launch day for the Hy-Vee Bag Program that supports local nonprofits!
We are so excited to share that Lifeworks has been selected to be a part of the Hy-Vee “My Heart” bag Program, which is designed to make it easy for customers to contribute to their local community.
On your next trip to the grocery store, consider buying a new, reusable bag at Hy-Vee! Starting today and for the entire month of September, when you purchase a $2.50 red, “My Heart” bag at Hy-Vee’s Eagan and Lakeville stores located at the addresses below, $1 is donated to Lifeworks.
Our goal is to sell 200 “My Heart” bags, equivalent to $250 raised. We are confident that with the help of our dedicated supporters, we can reach this goal. We strongly encourage you to share this news with family and friends as well!

The program was established to benefit the education, civic, health, hunger relief, and military organizations that are local to each Hy-Vee location.

Where can the bags be found in the store?
The red “My Heart” bags are available at various registers and at the reusable bag rack. If you are having trouble finding the bag, ask the store manager where the red “My Heart” bag is located, and they will be happy to show you!
What are safe practices nowadays for using reusable bags?
Just like you need to wash your hands regularly, always wash your reusable bags before and after use. If possible, bag your own groceries at check out.
