Our mission is to serve our community and people with disabilities as we live and work together. We strive to:
- Offer people with disabilities opportunities that lead to personal growth and meaningful experiences through work and learning opportunities.
- Ensure families and individuals receive fiscal support services that help make their lives easier.
Employment and Enrichment Services
Lifeworks supports adults with cognitive and physical disabilities in the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Mankato areas.
Employment Services
Lifeworks matches individuals to jobs based on their skills and preferences. We work with more than 290 businesses. In 2005, 601 individuals earned more than $3.7 million in wages for themselves. Our community-based employment services are CARF accredited.
Enrichment Services
Lifeworks works with people to have personalized learning opportunities including job skill development, art, music, volunteering, communication and computer support while providing quality care.
Customized Support Services
We work with over 600 people through our Customized Support Services. We focus on customer service and work to keep things simple. Our automated system allows you to access your expense summaries online.
Agency with Choice or Employer of Record
Lifeworks takes on the employment responsibilities for the people you choose to hire for your support.
Payroll Agent Model
Lifeworks assists you in becoming your own employer.
Fiscal Support Entity (FSE) or Fiscal Intermediary
Lifeworks assists you with purchases, monitors your budget and sends you spending reports.
Flexible Case Management
Lifeworks tailors our support to meet your needs, we can provide assistance in writing your plan, recruit or hire staff, or locate resources.
PCA Choice
This is an option of the Personal Care Assistance (PCA) Program that allows individuals who receive PCA services to hire and train their own PCAs.
