Position Description

Lifeworks Employment is seeking a full-time Service Facilitator (40 hours per week) to work with adults with developmental disabilities at a community-based career development site located in Richfield at  Best Buy. The Service Facilitator position will support clients through career exploration and job-skill-focused activities that challenge and enrich the long range goals of the individuals served. Experience working with customized employment and with assistive technology is preferred.  Schedule will flex to meet the needs of the program between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Job may include driving and lifting. This position requires a high degree of comfort with variety in the work day; flexibility and adaptability are necessary for success. Candidate should be creative, imaginative, and confident.  Candidate must also have excellent customer service skills and be detail oriented in their delivery of services.

Minimum qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field; or Associate’s degree in Human services or related field and two years work experience or; a combination of education and experience to equal four years
  • Prior experience working with people with disabilities and experience in customized employment preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail
  • Designated Coordinator status preferred
  • Flexibility, excellent customer service skills, strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Candidate must complete and pass a background study, physical and drug screen, have a valid driver’s license free of violation, proof of insurance and reliable transportation for work driving purposes.
  • The hiring range for a Lifeworks Service Facilitator is $14.89-$17.04 per hour.
