Lifeworks awarded three-year CARF accreditation

For three days in 2007, a team of four surveyors from other states visited Lifeworks’ employment sites, reviewed services and policies, and talked to staff, clients, and employers as part of the application process for our employment services to become CARF accredited.

CARF stands for Committee on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Accreditation allows Lifeworks to provide a broader range of employment services to Rehabilitative Services clients.
We received a three-year accreditation, the highest awarded. Lifeworks received an exemplary conformance for our technology and systems plan.

Lifeworks will again be going through CARF Accreditation on June 2, 3, and 4 in 2010, during which we will be seeking accreditation of both our employment and social enrichment services.
