How It Works

Explore the opportunities at no cost to you. A Lifeworks employment consultant will visit your company, learn about your business, and develop a job plan that addresses your business needs, whether they are accurate filing and mail management, general packing or janitorial services. Lifeworks has the workers who have the skills to get the job done.

The role of the job coach

The job coach is a Lifeworks employee who works on your behalf to:

  • Ensure the individuals you hire are trained and work to your quality standards every day.
  • Keep you informed and consult with you on introducing people with disabilities to your workforce.

Lifeworks tailors the job coach support to the needs of our workers and your business. Some individuals need only the initial training, regular visits, and retraining for new responsibilities. At other companies, the job coach is there every day supporting a crew of four or more people.

Hiring and wages

You pay according to productivity and may be eligible for tax credits. Lifeworks conducts time studies and monitors productivity levels. The hourly wage is based on the wage paid to an average experienced worker performing the same task.

Hire the person directly or contract with Lifeworks as employer of record. As employer of record, Lifeworks is responsible for salary, including withholding and benefits, and for all personnel matters, including transportation to and from the work site.
